DEADLINE EXTENDED
for CONVENTION SCHOLARSHIPS.

If your PTA can't afford to send a delegate, Sixth District PTA and Santa Clara Valley PTA may be able to help! See "Convention Scholarships" on [home page].

CONVENTION RESOLUTIONS.
At Convention, the delegates will debate and vote on two resolutions:
A
Computer Workstation Health
B
Child Trafficking in California
For the text and background info, [click here].

YOUR BEST PTA TRAINING OPPORTUNITY!
It’s tempting to cut "extras" when budget times are tough … but the leadership training you'll receive at Convention is invaluable! It’s more important than ever that parent leaders are well trained to lead effectively and to govern through difficult times. We need to be increasingly creative as public school funding is cut. Convention is the perfect opportunity to network & to brainstorm with others who are also trying to "think outside the box."

CONVENTION EXPENSES.
The cost of sending delegates to Convention is a legitimate expense for a PTA Unit or Council. As with any PTA expense, it should be in your PTA's budget.

CONVENTION SCHOLARSHIPS.
If your PTA can't afford to send a delegate, Sixth District PTA and Santa Clara Valley PTA may be able to help! See "Convention Scholarships" on [home page].

UNLEASH THE POWER OF STUDENTS!
Send a student to Convention!

VOLUNTEER AT CONVENTION!
Sign up for a 3-hour shift, and get free registration for that day! You can attend great workshops and other events on a space-available basis. To sign up, click [here].

SIXTH DISTRICT WANTS YOU!
While you're thinking about PTA, about helping kids, about leadership, and about training, please consider volunteering for Sixth District for next year! For info about opportunities, contact Richard Velasquez, president@capta6.org.

EXHIBIT HALL.
Entrance to the Exhibit Hall is FREE and open to everyone (yes, even non-PTA members) on one day only, Thu Apr 29.
